Is trader's £200k bar splurge the most expensive ever?


From the Sun: A trader blew £200,000 on what's believed to have been the most expensive round ever.

The epic outlay included £125,000 on a bottle of the world's priciest bubbly — a 30-litre double Nebuchadnezzar of Armand de Brignac Midas. Weighing a whopping 45kg, it had to be carried to the trader's table at Liverpool club PlayGround by two members of staff.

He also shelled out over £60,000 on other drinks for himself and ten pals. His mammoth order included 40 regular-size bottles of the expensive bubbles as well as two 4.5 litre bottles of Grey Goose vodka at £2000-a-pop. His final bill of £203,948.80, included an £18,540 TIP…
