From MarketWatch: China is awaiting more information on the European financial rescue fund before making a decision on whether it will add its support, a senior Chinese official said Wednesday ahead of a summit of the Group of 20 major economies in Cannes, France.
“The fund has not established details of its investment options, so we still can’t talk about the issue of investing,” Vice Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao was quoted as saying by the BBC.
A Reuters report also cited Zhu as saying China was caught off guard by Greece’s decision to hold a national referendum on the European Union measures to support Greek debt....
