Wall St Journal reports that hedge-fund titan Steven A. Cohen is planning a bid for the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to three people involved with the bankruptcy sale of the storied baseball team.
In a move that shows how serious Mr. Cohen is about bidding for the team, the billionaire founder of SAC Capital Advisors has been discussing the bid with Steve Greenberg of Allen & Co., the people familiar with the matter said.
