Microsoft is a huge tech-wasteland, an atrophying hulk of an
American icon not unlike the Sears department store chain, a former executive
at the software giant says in an upcoming report.
“I see Microsoft as technology’s answer to Sears,” the
executive, Kurt Massey, said in an interview that will hit newsstands next
week.
“In the 40s, 50s, and 60s, Sears had it nailed. It was
top-notch, but now it’s just a barren wasteland. And that’s Microsoft,” said
Massey. “The company just isn’t cool anymore.”
