MF Global Holdings Ltd. approved more than $8 million in
compensation for former Chief Executive Jon S. Corzine in the year before the
firm's collapse and a shortfall in customer funds estimated at $1.6 billion, the good folks at WSJ report.
Pay details for Mr. Corzine and other former MF Global
executives were disclosed in bankruptcy-court filings late last week by Louis
Freeh, the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director now overseeing MF
Global's estate as a trustee.
About $5.35 million of Mr. Corzine's compensation came in
the form of stock options, which are now worthless as a result of MF Global's
failure…..
