Man Group Snaps Up Top Goldman Banker

The world’s largest hedge fund manager Man Group has hired one of Goldman Sachs’ top executives. Jonathan Sorrell will join Man Group as the company’s head of strategy, and will be appointed to Man’s executive committee, according to a Financial Times article.

Sorrell, 33, ran a fund for Goldman that specialized in buying up stakes in third-party hedge fund managers. Sorrell, in his new position at Man, will look to increase the hedge fund firm’s presence in the U.S. and Asia, the Financial Times reported.

Man Group, located in London, has $71 billion in assets under management….
