According to the WSJ: The Chicago Board Options Exchange
CBOE +0.72% suffered system problems early Thursday that affected trading in
some stock-options contracts.
About 300 classes of stock options hosted on an exchange
"business cluster" run by CBOE opened for trade 10 minutes late
Thursday, after the exchange reported systems issues ahead of the start of
trading.
Some "spread" trading strategies remained
unavailable a half-hour later, affecting investors' ability to carry out more
complicated, multipart transactions.
