According to the Telegraph report: Local French authorities have launched an investigation into the seemingly catastrophic blunder.
With its twin outside staircase and arched entrances, the
140,000 sq ft Château de Bellevue was one of the most eye-catching sights in
Yvrac, a small wine-making village, an area north-east of Bordeaux, nestling
among its famous vineyards.
Polish workmen were only
supposed to demolish a separate smaller building on the grounds of the estate,
but that is the only edifice still standing after the main building succumbed
to the wrecking ball last month….
