According to Theodore J. Cohen: Not a day goes by without new revelations regarding confirmed and alleged cases of insider trading on Wall Street. The case du jour involves Steven A. Cohen (no relation to the author), the billionaire founder of SAC and one of the leading names in the hedge-fund industry. For years Hon. Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, has had Mr. Cohen in his sights, yet Bharara has never found evidence of Cohen's involvement in insider trading. Not that he hasn't tried, however. In April 2011, for example, former SAC analyst Jonathan Hollander agreed to settle SEC allegations he traded on inside information about a pending takeover of the Albertson's LLC grocery chain.
