A former employee of AT&T Corp. pleaded guilty Monday to
providing inside information to clients of a so-called expert-network firm,
including details about the phone company's sales of Apple Inc.'s iPhone and
Research in Motion Ltd.'s Blackberry products, according to WSJ reports.
Alnoor Ebrahim, 57 years old, admitted Monday that he worked
as a consultant for an expert-network firm, while employed by AT&T, and
shared material, nonpublic information about the phone company with clients of
the firm between 2008 and 2010. Mr. Ebrahim said he received about $180,000 for
sharing information during that period.
The expert-network firm was Primary Global Research LLC,
