Arrests swing harsh spotlight on SAC


The arrests of two more SAC Capital alums has turned up the scrutiny on Steve Cohen’s $13 billion hedge fund giant.

Federal agents yesterday swept up seven people, including two linked to Cohen’s Stamford, Conn., hedge fund. That brings to four the number of exSACers who have been nabbed as part of the government’s widespread insider-trading probe.

Among those arrested was Anthony Chiasson, who co-founded Level Global in 2003 with another former SAC buddy, David Ganek, and Jon Horvath, a technology analyst at SAC affiliate Sigma Capital Management.

An SAC spokesman declined to comment on the arrests except to say that Sigma Capital is cooperating with authorities.
