Occupy Wall Street is hitting the highway according to the good people at the NY Daily News. A small group of protesters from Zuccotti Park packed their bags and prepared to begin a two-week march to Washington D.C. Wednesday. At least a dozen demonstrators who have been camped out in Zuccotti Park said they were headed to Capitol Hill on foot to take their message against corporate greed to the politicians. They hope to pick up supporters in towns and cities along the way, before arriving on Nov. 27.
“We wanted to connect the occupations,” said Michael Glazer, an unemployed actor from Chicago who helped organize the highway hike. “We also want to bring it to rural communities who may not be able to get to us. We are going to let the politicians know we are watching them,” he added.
“This isn't business as usual any more. We won't stand for it anymore.”
