Only on Wall Street: A Fancy New Wall St. Pharmacy Serves Sushi And Has A Stock Ticker

A brand new branch of Duane Reade, the New York City-based drugstore owned by Walgreens, is opening on Wall Street and it is the largest Duane Reade ever built. Thrillingly, its massive size (22,000 square-feet) is matched in elegance and amenities.

Normally Duane Reade stores and their ilk are meant simply for standing slack-jawed in an unendingly long line waiting to buy the boring necessities of everyday life — toothpaste, deodorant, sad single bag of Halloween candy. But not so for the new Duane Reade on Wall Street! This is a place of decadence and luxury. According to the NYTimes:

It includes opulent amenities like a hair salon for shampoos, blow dries and blowouts; a nail bar for manicures and massages; a pharmacy with a doctor on hand for consultation during the week; and a grocery market featuring sushi and smoothie bars. There is also a stock ticker.
