Warren Watch: Now Buffett to star in TV show


Billionaire CEO/investor/philanthropist/tax activist Warren Buffett can add another title to his moniker: cartoon character. An animated television series starring Buffett as himself premieres at 10 a.m. today on children's cable network Hub (formerly Discovery Kids).

"The Secret Millionaires Club," geared to children ages 6 to 11, mixes character-building lessons in honesty, perseverance and other traits with the fundamentals of business, economics, personal finance and investing.

Buffett lends his voice, image and persona to the series, but he did not invest in the program and was not paid. "He's doing it pro bono. There is nothing we could pay him that would be relevant," says Andy Heyward, the show's producer and a veteran of children's programming.
