FedEx Corp.'s forecast for record holiday shipping this year shows that U.S. customers are buying more things online, according to the Wall St Journal. But retailers still anticipate a soft holiday season, with the growth in shipping volume largely expected to come from shoppers scouring the Web for cheap deals.
FedEx said Monday it expects to handle about 260 million shipments between Thanksgiving and Christmas, or 12% more than last year.
