A man has died after plunging nearly 100ft from a sixth
floor balcony bar at the Tate Modern gallery in London, the police have
confirmed. According to HuffPo UK the
incident was witnessed by hundreds of tourists, many of whom were sunbathing
outside the iconic building.
The man, Michael Foreman, a HSBC banker, fell from the
members' bar balcony around 6pm on Tuesday evening. The sixth floor bar overlooks the building’s
main entrance.
Onlookers were stunned by the incident, with one tweeting
that "Seeing the guy who had committed suicide and jumped off the Tate
